Chris Davenport

President and COO

Chris Davenport is the President of The Symphony Agency and is an internationally recognized technology and information security expert. As a founding member of the organization, Chris’s business savvy and expertise in finance and operations are key to Symphony’s success. At The Symphony Agency, Chris’s proficiency as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) benefits the agency as he manages its information technologies, human resources, and large-scale operations.

Chris began his career in the music industry after graduating from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee before transitioning his career to financial services. In 1991, his career shifted to healthcare management where he worked as an Executive Director for multiple physician and healthcare organizations before shifting his talents to consulting. In 2001, Chris began his entrepreneurial pursuits when he joined a startup consulting company in Houston, Texas where he focused on information security and governmental compliance. The consulting company grew to over 650 employees and was sold to IBM in 2005. Chris stayed on with IBM as a Global Security Consultant traveling the world helping world-class organizations protect their technology and information assets as well as complying with national and international regulations.  

Chris’s work has been published by IBM, Microsoft and Health Leaders Inc. He has taught on the subject of IT Security at the University of Miami and has presented at SANS and HIMSS annual conferences.

When Chris isn’t working, you can find him mastering a new instrument, recording music, sailing, or en route to a new destination somewhere in the world.
