Building a Better Employee Experience

Internal Caregiver Newsletter

Building a happy and engaged culture is critical to growth because it takes a village. To build company culture, we publish a monthly newsletter to all Sonas team members with company updates, patient stories, advice, educational content, games, competitions, and more.

Highlighting Caregivers’ Stories

We developed a content marketing strategy to interview caregivers and their patients on a monthly basis to develop articles which are published on the Sonas blog. In addition to this, once a quarter, we have a video shoot where the best stories are captured on film and shared with the entire organization.

Internal Communications Projects

Brand Integration into Office Design

Sonas Home Health Care has 10 offices across the state of Florida, which all had a different look and feel. We evaluated the current spaces and identified ways we could introduce the Sonas brand into them. From wall decor featuring their mission to a Sonas video that highlights their core values playing on the waiting room TVs, we designed the office space to enhance productivity and increase positive feelings about the Sonas brand.

Caregiver of the Year Campaign

Caregiver retention is critical to Sonas’ success, as they often have more new patients than nurses to care for them. With this in mind, we developed an annual “Caregiver of the Year” campaign to give their team, as well as patients and their families, the ability to nominate a caregiver who exemplifies the Core Values of the organization.

Diversity Letter from CEO Campaign

In June 2020, Sonas’s CEO, Patrick Daily, wanted to send out a letter to his team sharing his heartbreak over the racial chasm that divided our nation. He came to the Symphony team to help him craft a strategy and message that would unite his team during this difficult time, as well as taking an active role in supporting racial reconciliation efforts in the communities where their caregivers live and work.

Results of This Campaign

By creating concise internal communications, the Sonas team knows exactly where to look for information and the latest updates and contests. Each month, their email communications — including newsletters — receive an average of 50% open rates. And, their office branding has given them a cohesive look and feel that makes Sonas Home Health Care recognizable by caregivers inside and outside the organization.
